Passion

One of the best things about being a musician is sharing my passion for music with others. It’s possible anywhere: on and off stage. I enjoy teaching both new and experienced singers of all ages. For the past two years I have enjoyed teaching piano students as well! It’s inspiring and insightful to help others develop their talents.

Skills

I strive to inspire creativity through exploration and problem solving. Whether playing the piano, singing, or playing and singing together students learn how to read music, how to understand what a composer “means” and how to have fun bringing music to life. From understanding the harmony in pop song for the first time, singing a climactic note tension free, or falling in love with a type of music you have never heard before. Living and learning with music has many rewards along the way.

Lessons

Each session is equally divided between technique exercises and then the study of specific pieces of music. I specialize in musical theater and vocal classical music, and beginner level piano music of all genres.
